These rules apply to everyone who uses the maviapi APIs or builds APIs on maviapi. They exist to keep the service reliable and lawful for everyone and to make sure data is collected responsibly. This policy is part of, and incorporated into, our Terms of Service.
Build responsibly
You may use maviapi to access publicly available data and build APIs for lawful purposes, within the limits of your plan.
You are responsible for how you collect and use data, including complying with the terms, laws, and rights that apply to the source websites and to the data itself.
Prohibited uses
You must not use maviapi to do any of the following.
- Break the law or infringe anyone's rights, including intellectual-property, privacy, or contractual rights.
- Collect or process personal or sensitive data unlawfully.
- Bypass authentication, paywalls, or access controls you are not authorized to pass.
- Distribute malware, run security attacks, or probe systems without authorization.
- Resell or redistribute the service in a way that competes with maviapi.
- Send spam or abusive automated traffic.
Respecting the websites we access
- Honor each target site's stated wishes, including robots.txt opt-outs.
- Do not target a site at a volume or frequency that could degrade or disrupt it.
- Do not use maviapi to access sites in a way that is unlawful where you operate or where the site is hosted.
Fair use and limits
Your plan includes credit and rate limits. Do not attempt to circumvent them, share keys to exceed them, or create multiple accounts to avoid them.
We may apply technical limits to protect the service and other users.
Enforcement
If you violate this policy, we may throttle, suspend, or terminate your access, with or without notice depending on the severity, and we may remove APIs built in violation of it.
We may report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities.
